Innomerix launches high strength conductive compounds. These materials are an excellent choice for eliminating the risk of static discharge. Whether your components are used in environments with high risk of explosion, or you are trying to protect electronic components from electric shock, Innomerix can provide the perfect solution.

Through use of carbon fibre and other fillers, we have created a line of conductive and static dissipative compounds. Carbon fibre gives these materials an incredible strength-to-weight ratio and when combined with other additives act as a percolating network to dissipate static charge. This means the compounds have a permanent antistatic effect.

As plastics are electrical insulators, static build up is inevitable when subjected to friction. Repeated surface abrasion from movement of even the flow of dust can cause charge to build on the surface of the material. Once enough charge has accumulated at the surface, the resulting spark can discharge at over 1000 volts. This can be enough energy to ignite flammable dusts and gasses. It is vital that equipment used to store, transport and handle fuel, gasses and dust have the ability to dissipate static buildup to prevent explosion.

Packaging and housing for sensitive electrical equipment also present a problem. Electrostatic discharge can damage electronics in moisture proof packaging or housing if no antistatic agents are used. Our compounds can also act as electromagnetic radiation shielding.  Products made from these compounds can be used to reduce the interference from radar and other electromagnetic radiation, while providing protection from static build up.
